THE BAND

Manteca is without doubt one of the most legendary bands in WA. It was founded by our now patron master musician, arranger and composer - Uwe Stengel.Manteca became one of Australia's most outstanding contemporary jazz ensembles in the late 70s as it broke new ground by featuring in two six-part nationwide ABCTV series and becoming a national success.30 years on, Manteca's latest lineup features some of Perth's top session musos:
